Travel from Guimaras to Bacolod | The City of Smiles at night!

After an overnight stay and a not so worth it island hopping in Guimaras, we immediately got ourselves ready to travel again. Naloka ako sa tagal ng byahe from Alubihod beach to Jordan Wharf. Di ko akalain na sobrang layo pala. Mga 30-45 mins yata yung byahe namin by tricycle. Nakakatulog na nga ako sa tagal e. We paid Php 300 for the tricycle. We also got Kuya Cherald's Tatang to safely drive us to Jordan.

There is no direct fast craft from Guimaras to Bacolod so from Guimaras, another 15 mins. boat ride (costs Php 14) to Parola Wharf, Iloilo and rode a tricycle to bring us to Muelle Loney, Iloilo where we will be riding a fast craft to Bacolod. As for my estimate, mukang pwede namang lakarin kung feel niyo at kung di naman madami ang dala niyo at di naman sobrang mainit.

We weren't able to catch Ocean Jet kasi as in paalis na sila pagdating namin so we had Weesam Express.

Economy cabin. We stayed in this part of the craft.

Also an economy cabin.
Economy costs Php 310 but since we had our school IDs we got a student discount.

From BREDCO port, we rode a tricycle na hanggang plaza lang pwede. We went to their Baranggay Hall and the lady in charge didn't hesitate to help us at ibinilin na lang sa jeep kung saan kami ibababa. A big thanks to her.

ONG BUN PENSION HOUSE - BACOLOD

Should I say suki niyo na kami? Haha. We also stayed in Ong Bun for Iloilo! Mura na, malinis pa! Also according to my research, eto na ang pinaka mura.

I don't recommend this to you. As in paglabas niyo ng pinto, ayan na ang madaming tao! Pero I can say, pagpasok sa loob di mo feel na public market ang nasa paligid mo.
Unable to take a decent photo of the room pero almost the same lang naman sa Iloilo. May pang-whole body mirror lang at medyo mainit yung aircon nung napunta saming room. Hehe.
Also got a triple sharing room with own CR, TV, and aircon which costs Php 780 and we just added Php 50 for the extra person for a total of Php 830. Php60 difference with Ong Bun Iloilo.

Based on my original plan, dapat this day, tour kami kaso nga plans were changed because of the Guimaras Island hopping. They rested for less than an hour then ako naman lumabas at naglakad lakad, nakarating pa sa Gaisano, Bacolod. :))

MANOKAN COUNTRY
Along Rizal Street, near SM Bacolod

While my lovely friends are resting, I decided to go out, asked the hotel service people how to go to Manokan Country and Calea. They instructed me but since I'm not really familiar with the place, I just remembered the landmarks near it.

After a few minutes walk at walang humpay na tanong sa mga nakakasalubong (ayaw maligaw. hihi), we arrived at Manokan Country.

Another challenge! Saan kami kakain!!! As in tabi-tabi lang sila, pare-parehong Chicken Inasal din ang inooffer nila.
Decided to have our breakfast, lunch and dinner in one at Nena's Beth.
Dahil malaki yung lugar nila, baka talagang maraming kumakain at kapag maraming kumakain, masarap! :)
 Talaba for Php 35
Petcho Pak for Php 65
Petcho Paa for Php60
Articles / Isaw for Php 10
At tumataginting na 9 rice for 4 gwapa. Hahahaha.

SM BACOLOD

Pagtapos lumamon kumain, we proceeded to SM to buy some souvenir items. :)

CALEA  PASTRIES & COFFEE
Balay Quince across L' Fisher Hotel
Lacson Street

Asked people around the mall how we can get to the nearest Calea, yung mga guard, di daw nila alam. Good thing there was someone whom I think heard what I was asking the guard and just gave the directions immediately.

Rode a jeepney and ask the driver to drop us to Calea. Naloka na naman ako jeep! Haha.
First glimpse of the ever popular Calea!!
Bet ko iuwi ang cute nilang pinto! :)
 Sarap! Kagutom!! :))
The place. Very homey and clean.
I had Pecan Chocolate Cake for Php 80
Majo's White Chocolate Cake for Php 75
Gia's Choco Mousse Cake for Php 75
Dys' Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake for Php 85
Gia's Floating Island for Php 75

Very bongga! I've proven that it tastes really good. For me, the prices are a bit cheap.

CAPITOL PARK AND LAGOON

On our way to Calea, the jeep passed through a place full of bright lights which we immediately notice because other parts of the street were dark, we realized it was the park. We decided to walk from Calea since we're also full from our heavy dinner and dessert.
 The lagoon.

The park features a matching sculptures of a woman standing alongside a water buffalo and a man pulling another water buffalo. These sculptures are located at the northern and southern ends of the lagoon.
 Paghimud-os Monument

 Provincial Capitol Building
Capitol Building and Lagoon from afar.

SAN SEBASTIAN CATHEDRAL
Rizal Street

Another jeepney ride which supposedly will bring us to the public market but the route of the jeep is only up to the plaza. Sakto pa, pag baba namin, eto ang nakita namin.

The church is already closed but it looked great with those lights!

We dropped by the plaza and took a few photos when a man approached us. He's also from Manila. He's only having his OJT at Bacolod. What a small world. Then he told us where he is living and studying. What a smaller world, we're in the same school! Haha.

I can't squeeze the entire Bacolod City tour here. Will make the next post the soonest possible time. :)
